01 / ENTER YOUR ASSUMPTIONS
Every cost in the open.
Use amounts in the selected currency, with up to two decimal places. All costs are per unit unless marked otherwise.
02 / YOUR BASE SCENARIO
What a sale leaves.
Contribution covers the fixed event cost first. It is not net profit.
Results are unavailable until all inputs are valid.
03 / TRY A DIFFERENT PATH
What if?
Try a lower price for a discount, or change the fixed event cost. All other assumptions stay the same.
SIDE BY SIDE

Event balance = contribution × planned units sold − fixed event cost. Before and after labor are separate scenarios, not additional deductions.

OPTIONAL / YOUR STATED COGS BASIS
Gross metrics, kept separate.
Gross profit = sale price − your stated COGS. Gross margin divides that amount by sale price; markup divides it by COGS. Both use the same COGS for the base and what-if price. Fees, labor and fixed event cost are not deducted in these formulas unless you have deliberately included relevant amounts in your stated COGS. This does not change contribution above or verify your cost classification.

Correct the highlighted fields to restore the gross-metrics comparison.
No COGS provided means no gross metrics. A zero denominator is N/A, not zero or infinity. Negative gross profit and percentages are retained. These metrics are not net profit and do not predict discount sales.
Keep the reasoning.

How the arithmetic and limits work
All seven supported currencies use two decimal places here. Money inputs are exact integer cents: 0 to 999,999,999.99. Decimal point only; no commas, currency symbols, negative amounts, exponents or fractional cents. Percentage fee: 0–100%, at most two decimal places.
The percentage fee is sale price × rate, rounded half up to the nearest cent per unit. Add the entered fixed fee after rounding. Labor is hourly cents × whole minutes ÷ 60, also rounded half up per unit. Contribution before labor = price − materials − packaging − rounded percentage fee − fixed fee. Contribution after labor subtracts rounded labor once.
For a positive contribution, break-even is fixed event cents ÷ contribution cents, rounded up to whole units. Positive contribution with zero fixed cost gives 0 units. A zero or negative contribution always shows “No finite break-even,” including zero fixed cost: selling more units cannot create positive contribution to cover event costs.
Optional gross metrics use only the explicitly entered COGS basis: gross profit = price − stated COGS; gross margin = gross profit ÷ price × 100%; markup = gross profit ÷ COGS × 100%. Blank COGS is not assumed to be zero or materials plus packaging. A zero denominator is N/A. Percentages round to two decimal places, nearest with exact ties away from zero; underlying money remains exact cents. Negative results are allowed. Changing COGS never alters contribution, fees, labor or event break-even. This is a manual scenario calculator, not a classification or accounting assurance.
Event balances use rounded per-unit amounts × planned units − fixed event cost. Actual processors may round per transaction or batch differently. This model is one product per event, not an inventory, multi-product, tax, accounting or net-profit tool. Planning estimates only; not tax or investment advice.
